My creative process and research has drawn me to a more natural way of thinking and coexisting within my natural surroundings. During the last week of summer leading up to Mabon the autumn equinox, we spent a few days on @frowenfields campsite so we could explore the Pembrokeshire coast, watching the fresh water from the summer rains make its way down to join to powerful sea, we bathed in this joining of the two main sources of water we have, the fresh and and the salty both can heal both can give life and both can take it away. We are thankful for the privilege to be able to experience both together, and be part of that circular ecosystem. My recent work is deeply rooted in my love for foraging and the intrinsic connection between women and nature.I am exploring how I can develop a more sustainable practice by engaging directly with the natural world. By utilising foraged plants and naturally grown kombucha scobies, to create pigments, inks, and materials that transform my creative practice into one that emphasises ephemeral, transient artworks. In my approach, the process of collecting and making becomes a vital component of the work itself. Foraging chicken of the woods - a well known mushroom that lots of people love to eat I don’t like the taste or texture of this mushroom but I do collect it to make into a powder to add to cooking and I found a new way to use it to make paper !

Being able to reuse waste products is a big part of my arts practice and process, here I am amercing myself in wood chip this pile is a mix of wood and leafs from cedar and pine and smells Devine the pond was an old Belfast ceramic sink and beach stones from Worthing beach that actually don’t come from Worthing but are transported there for other beach’s as it is eroding away . Rescued a bee from the middle of a busy car park - brought them in popped on a plant fed with honey and water and popped in the garden to do its thing - with the few flowers I have left 😔 not sure how long they will last though #bees #savethebees #bumblebee
