Selection of Professional Experience & projects

Creator of Pulborough Community creative garden & food allotment 2023/24/25

This allotment was a project I had a lot of passion for, I had my own allotment and wanted to bring the community

in to learn how to grow and be creative at the same time. Teach how to prevent food waste and help with mental health.

I organised a group who built it from scratch once the council gave us a plot, you can see the progress

in the photos. it took us a good year to get things going and as soon as we did the council wanted to take

the creativity out of it and just have it for growing food, and they also wanted to take control of the volunteers as it was their land . I handed over control a year ago, but kept up my own allotment which was next door to it. The council have not had enough interest since and it has been left to overgrow , which shows me that many people need creativity to be able to engage and understand how we connect to the land

Co-Creator of Pulborough Food Pantry 2023/2024

One of the co- lead instigators of creating a volunteer lead, food pantry, we had to organise volunteers, relevant paperwork, lease with councils and stake holders, organise food collections from supermarkets and other charities. Once this was up and running, I handed over to a fellow creator to continue the work.
