Pulborough Community Garden & Food Allotment, 2023–2025

A community creative garden and food allotment, I had my own allotment and wanted to bring the community in to learn how to grow and be creative at the same time, so I set up from scratch on a council plot, with he help of the parish council and local community.

The project brought people together to learn how to grow food, reduce food waste and use gardening and making as a form of creative, low-cost mental health support. After a year of building the project with a volunteer group, management passed to the council, and other volunteers and has since had a variety of community involvement.

Co-Creator of Pulborough Food Pantry 2023/2024

One of the co-lead instigators of creating a volunteer lead, food pantry, we had to organise volunteers, relevant paperwork, lease with councils and stake holders, help organise food collections from supermarkets and other charities. Once this was up and running, I handed over to a fellow creator to continue the work.

The photos below show the progress of both the community allotment and food pantry and its growth.
